Welcome 2020!

January 9, 2020

We had a great holiday season and are now happy to get back to more routine days! January brings about periods of planning and it’s exciting to look forward and think about all the possibilities for the year ahead. The hardest part is the holding still and taking the time to thoughtfully plan instead of jumping right in on the project in front of us. Anybody else feel this way?!?

In any event we will take a breath, attempt to be more mindful, and do our best to make thoughtful decisions for the year! To be certain, one goal is to post a little more regularly on social media. Please let us know if there is something you would like to know/see and we will do our best to put it out there for you!

This pic is from our last photo shoot of 2019. Clare is showing off one of our Global Folk statement necklaces featuring one of our handmade tile and mosaic pendants along with two strands of chunky turquoise, coral, lava stone, carnelian and Kenyan bone beads. Find it for purchase here >>>

Romy & Clare

Nature, texture, and color inspire us both. We love to incorporate these elements in our ceramic art work to create beautiful things.

We are Romy Kissel and Clare Backer Bies and we happily come each day to our studio, a 100+ year old grainery, in our mid-western hometown of Jasper, Indiana.
