This was a really fun project. Our client was moving into a new home where space was made for an inset niche in the new kitchen behind the cooktop. After sending an inspiration photo of her favorite tree on the property, Clare sketched up a design (shown below). After approval Clare carved the design in 3 panels in stoneware clay. After the bisque (first) firing, Romy glazed the whimsical scene in our favorite palette of cheery glazes. We carefully packaged and shipped the tiles to California where the panels were professionally installed in the niche.
