 New in the Studio...

Outside Studio

These are some of our new pieces for 2012 in progress.  We are out "picking" furniture, frames, and architectural pieces then transforming them into one-of-a-kind artwork by adding custom tiles and mosaic...making them functional and beautiful for your home.

Busy like elves in our workshop....creating a fun selection of Raku Clay Tile Christmas Ornaments.  Here you see them in raw clay (above) and an example of a finished one (below).

10% from the sale of each ornament is donated to Kiva. Help us help others in this giving season. To find out more about Kiva go to www.kiva.org.

Dubois, IN Community Library Mosaic Workshop

We had forty eight kids create more than 2000 clay jewels at our Saturday workshop at the Dubois Elementary School.

We are now in the process of firing all of these pieces from the workshop and then we will compose them into several finished mosaic wall art pieces.  The finished community artwork pieces will soon hang in the new Dubois, IN Public Library.

Progress from the Clay Tile Workshop at the Ferdinand Library

Fifty local participants came out to create decorative clay tiles to be incorporated into a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired mosaic wall mural which will be installed in the computer room of the new soon-to-be-opened Ferdinand Library.

People were given raw clay to roll out, pressed designs into the clay using computer parts and pieces, and glazed the 8x8 tiles.

We are now in the process of firing each tile and will soon begin to assemble the finished mural.

We have always had a passion for color and texture in design and lately we have been incorporating texture in our fresh-out-of-the-kiln creations...
